Build Your Own Brick Pizza Oven

Submitted by Malcolm on April 28, 2009 – 5:22 pmNo Comment

pizzaovenIt’s the dream, isn’t it? Being able to create the perfect pizza, anytime you like, and at a moment’s notice? If you’ve been following along, you know we have gotten pretty close to a good pizza dough…now, if only there were a way to cook it in just moments, at temperatures approaching 1000 degrees.

Techniques for the construction of a home pizza oven are varied, and range from simple clay structures to elaborate, full-blown brick affairs. Our favorite is this one, and the plans are free, courtesy of Better Homes and Gardens. One thing is for certain: once you start down the road to pizza oven bliss, you will find a very active community to bounce ideas off of. Good luck!
