I am suffering from a pretty hellacious dog bite, so this weeks’ collection of Leftovers is a little smaller than usual. Before my hand freezes into a solid ball of infection, here are a few links you may have missed, to get you through the weekend:

  • Epicurious has the top five words used to decribe food that, well, make you not want to be around food at all. “Laquered” I can deal with, but “offal” is, well… [Epicurious]
  • If you’re still eating s’mores the old fashioned way, you’re doing it all wrong. Try these variations on the classic by swapping out the grahams and adding banana, Nutella, and more. [Sunset]
  • Though we still love an old-school grilled cheese, made with Wonder Bread and Kraft Singles (and thus having no nutritional value whatsoever), there’s no real reason to eat like a five year old. Dress up your grilled cheese sandwiches to make thm more adult-friendly, with these variations. [Slashfood]
  • The Frozen Food Master climbs into new territory when he starts…deep-frying his frozen food. Check out the verdict on whether deep frying improves pepperoni/sausage Bagel Bites. [Freezer Burns]
  • There aren’t a lot of things that make getting out of bed in the morning any more paletable, but the phrase “Eggs Benedict Caprese on Grilled French Bread with Cheddar Bechamel” is definitely one of them (in spite of having too many words). [Food is to Love]
