Make Your Own Homemade Ketchup

ketchupgourmetIf you are like me, you are a little self-conscious about your ketchup consumption. I sometimes tend to add ketchup to things I shouldn’t, spoiling the flavor of eggs, macaroni and cheese, banana bread, etc., and I feel terrible about it.

Fortunately, our fellow FoodBuzz blogger “Kiss My Spatula” has posted her homemade solution, which she claims will make you turn away from Heinz (which is essentially slow-moving tomato-flavored sugar) forever.

You’ll feel less like you’re slathering your food with mass market condiments, and more like you are adding your own preservative-free small-batch “red sauce.” And that’s better, right?
