School Lunch from Around the World

This collection of photographs of school lunches from around the world isn’t so much about how weird/great food in other countries is, it’s about how abysmally bad lunches in American schools continue to be.
Even as consumers eat better in their own homes, school lunches, particulary those provided by the US Department of Education, don’t appear to have improved even since we were kids. And what’s even worse, is think what more adventurous eaters we would all be if, like the French, we grew up eating steamed mussels and artichokes instead of the constant parade of nuggets, sticks, and tenders?
