Shaming Yourself into Reducing Your Egg Consumption
Every few years, the medical community seems to go back and forth on the wisdom of incorporating eggs into your diet. While a pan full of greasy fried eggs is clearly not the ideal breakfast for someone suffering from heart disease or high cholesterol, experts tend to mostly agree that the 213 mg of cholesterol found in one egg is under the 300 mg per day recommended for someone in good health. Use your head: if you eat an egg for breakfast, watch your cholesterol intake for the rest of the day. Consuming more cholesterol in food such as eggs could increase your risk of heart disease, or at the very least, will probably make you smell.

what’s weird is that those 80’s public service announcements convinced me that eggs were deadly but did nothing to alter my impression of drugs. Any questions?
And remember that eggs from pasture raised hens have a lot less cholesterol and fat (and at the same time more vitamins, omega-3s and beta carotene)than caged or “factory” eggs. Some people say it’s about the diet of the hens and not where/how they live, but I don’t know as I’m not a chicken farmer (yet). Either way they taste better and that’s hard to argue with.
