Review: KIND Cranberry and Almond Bar

Submitted by Mackenzie on July 6, 2009 – 10:25 amNo Comment

I eat a lot of meal replacement bars. A LOT. I’m normally running from one commitment to another, living out of my car and whatever food I’m able to stash in my bag. That naturally leads to a lot of meal replacement bars, because they’re portable and easy to eat on the go. However, not all bars are created equally. The best ones taste like real food and are satisfying enough to actually qualify as a mini-meal. The worst taste like cardboard or chalk or whatever chemicals were used to construct them.

KIND Bars are among the best. Just check out the picture.

I can identify the ingredients used to construct it. When I bite in, I taste whole, crunchy almonds and sweet cranberries. The crispy rice also adds a nice additional textural experience. As an added bonus, the ingredients used don’t melt easily, which makes it perfect for throwing in my tote and hauling it around in the warm summer weather.

The verdict: The KIND Cranberry and Almond Bar is worth trying out. If you’re used to eating a lot of protein/nutrition bars, this one is a great, surprisingly tasty find and worth adding to your lineup. If you refuse to eat meal replacement bars because of the artificial taste you’ll usually find, give this one a try. You’ll find just great fruit and nut flavors. This bar is a satisfying way to stay full between meals.
