Review: Think Thin Bars
As I mentioned in my review of KIND bars, I eat a lot of meal replacement bars. Today I thought I’d share another favorite with you. Think Thin bars are my new addiction. Not only are they high in protein and low in sugar, a rare find in a natural bar, they are gluten free, making them a great option for those suffering from celiac disease or gluten intolerance.
Of the five flavors available, I’ve tried four: Brownie Crunch, Chocolate Fudge, Creamy Peanut Butter and Chunky Peanut Butter (White Chocolate Chip is also available, but I’m not a fan of white chocolate). Brownie Crunch is my favorite. It offers a dense chocolaty filling studded with soy crisps and coated in smooth chocolate. Chocolate Fudge offers a lighter chocolate flavor in the filling with the same smooth chocolate coating that is also found on the peanut butter options. The Creamy Peanut Butter and Chunky Peanut Butter flavors offer the perfect combination of peanut butter and chocolate flavors. Creamy is a full bar of smooth, creamy peanut butter covered in chocolate, while my favorite, the Chunky Peanut Butter, contains soy crisps and small chunks of peanut for a delicious textural combination.
The verdict: Think Thin bars satisfy the 3pm candy bar craving, while having the bonus of keeping you full and satisfied until dinner. They’re a great way to fulfill the need for chocolate in a way that won’t leave you feeling guilty.
