blogs I readFeeling bored?

Want to while a few hours away on the net during that Friday afternoon lull?

Here’s a short list of the interesting and the odd…

1. My Year of Legos is a new blog with some fabulous photographs and hilarious captions. The best entry so far has got to be this one. With 345 days to go, this blog is sure to entertain you for a long time to come.

2. Alice and Kev: The Story of Being Homeless in Sims 3. Not many websites can combine entertainment and social commentary with such aplomb. This blog is addictive and is the reason why I own Sims 3 myself.

3. If you haven’t come across Cake Wrecks yet, you are missing out. Who knew that sugary disasters could be the cause of such amusement?

4. Film School Rejects explains why Hogwarts is the worst school in the history of films everywhere. They make some valid points.

5. How Stuff Works is the kind of website you could lose yourself in for days at a time. Their article on facts about mass-produced food will both enlighten you and strike fear into your heart. I will never look at a strawberry milkshake the same again.

6. Cardon Copy is an artist’s attempt to turn the ordinary fliers and signs we see on the street into eye-catching pieces of art. Lovely stuff.

Here it is 5 in the a.m. and I am secretly, oh so quietly, reading your article whilst husband is sleeping just behind me. I thought, “cake wrecks sounds interesting”; clicked on the link, and woke husband up with my not able to contain loud laughter! Me: happy, Husband: none too pleased! Thanks for this – you made my very early morning start to my day, very happy! You made my husband’s early morning start to my dad, a bit grumpy. He’ll get over it, I’ll waste hours looking at the other websites!
Mustn’t forget Icanhascheeseburgers — hillarious. Hugs!
